Pals is a population of great rice tradition. The first documentary news on this type of culture date from century XV.

After crossing more or less fruitful times, century XIX supposed for the rice an inevitable period of decay.
In spite of this misfortune, at the beginning of century XX, the rice returned to experience a new impulse thanks to the modern techniques of culture introduced by Pere Coll.
